How many turtles did you count!? 🐢This laid-back crew were spotted just last week in the sparkling shallows of @Wilson Island, where they travel each year for nesting season 🏖️ From November to March, you can spot adult green turtles and loggerhead turtles along the island's bright white shore, and from January to May it's hatching time! This place looks like a dream! 🩵😍 The Hill Inlet Lookout is an iconic location in the Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia. Here's everything you need to know: Acess to Hill Inlet: Via boat from Hamilton Island, Daydream Island, or Airlie Beach or via seaplane or helicopter tour that have departures from Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island. When to Visit Peak seaon: May to October (dry season) offers clear skies and calm waters, perfect for outdoor activities. This is, however, the busiest time. Quieter season: December to March (wet season) can bring rainfall and stinger season. Our favourite time to visit is September. 😉 Trails: Trails are well-marked, and the hike is moderate (approximately 1.2 km return). The lookout offers three separate platforms, each providing a unique perspective on the inlet's beauty and views across the islands. Interesting Facts 1. Silica Sand: The sand at Whitehaven Beach is 98% pure silica, making it soft, cool underfoot, and brilliant white. 2. Protected Area: It's part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is protected from commercial development. 3. Hill Inlet's Swirling Sands: The tidal movements create ever-changing patterns of sand and water, making every visit unique. Visit during low tide; it's when the patterns are most visible. 4.
