What’s The Difference between IMSA vs. WEC Endurance Racing? 👀 There’s plenty, but some of the biggest are where they race, how they balance power, their tires, and pit stop rules. 1) WEC races globally where IMSA stays in North America. 2) BoP or “Balance of Power” is how organizations keep racing balanced. How IMSA manages this is a bit different in its classes Vs. WEC 3) Tires are everything in racing, and while IMSA uses Michelin Tires exclusively, WEC has multiple suppliers! 4) Pit stops are different too. IMSA is considered more “progressive” in allowing hot tire swaps to occur during fueling, where WEC doesn’t. The Nissan GT-R that shouldn’t exist 👀 The JGTC, or technically Super GT, Nissan GT-R ran an inline 4 turbo instead of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 everyone thought. Why? In 2014, GT500 rules changed to align with DTM, which meant every team including Honda and Toyota had to run a two-liter turbo inline four. Nissan built their version and called it the NR20A. 👀 Even though it looked like a VR38 powered R35, it wasn't. It was lighter, made around 650hp, and was rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive. It's kind of wild that one of the most aggressive GT-Rs ever had half the cylinders of the street car, but that’s racing! The HKS Zero-R Is The RAREST R32 GT-R to ever be made and here’s why… 👀 With only 4 left in the world, the Zero-R was a project started by HKS where an small amount of OEM GT-R’s were set aside from Nissan to be tuned into something crazy. The result? A car so different from Nissan, it had to be impact tested AGAIN. The project flopped, but the conversions stayed under HKS’ care.
