I've always loved the look of mixed metal appliances, but replacing perfectly good ones just wasn’t something I wanted to do. We were really lucky to move in with great appliances, so instead of buying new, I decided to get creative. I used automotive vinyl to wrap parts of the stainless steel in gold, and it’s held up so well—super durable and scratch-resistant. The only problem? This gold isn’t quite right. It’s a little too bold for what I had in mind, so I’m going to rewrap it in a softer, lighter gold.
