I love how these paw print ornaments turned out! 🐾🎄💕 ‼️These are NOT EDIBLE. Hang them HIGH on your TREE and KEEP them AWAY from your pets if you think they might try to eat them. INGREDIENTS: • 2 cups all-purpose flour • ¾ cup regular table salt • ¾ to 1 cup of water INSTRUCTIONS 1. In a large bowl, add the flour and salt. Slowly add the water until mixture resembles a dough. Be careful here not to add too much water. You do not want it to be sticky. 2. Knead the dough for a few minutes so it’s smooth. 3. Roll out the dough on a a silpat or parchment paper to 1/4 inch thick. 4. Place the paw print onto the dough gently being careful not to push all the way through. 5. Use a cookie cutter to cut out a shape around the paw print. 6. Personalize with a stamp. 7. Use a chop stick or a straw to make a hole for the ribbon. 8. Place the silpat with paw print ornaments onto a cookie sheet. 9. Bake in a 175F ( 80C) oven for 1 hour or you can air dry for a 5-7 days in a cool dry place. 10. Remove from the oven and cool. I put mine on a wire rack so the air can circulate around them. Leave for 24 hours before adding ribbon. You can seal with mod podge but I don’t. Thought I’d share these baking soda clay paw print ornaments we made for our tree. I wanted to give those who might be worried about having salt dough ornaments in the house another option. Also these are gluten free for those who cannot work with flour. In my opinion these were a little bit more delicate to work with but still a fun family project that involves our fur babies as well. I think they are a great craft option to share with your family and friends for the holidays. ‼️ DECOR ONLY. NOT A TREAT. Please do not feed your dogs these. YOU WILL NEED 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 cup baking soda 3/4 cup water Holiday cookie cutters (Sunday has big paws so I use a 5 inch and a 6 inch cutter ) Ribbon or string INSTRUCTIONS 1.In a medium sized pot combine the cornstarch, baking soda, and water. 2.Stir over medium heat. After a couple of minutes, the mixture will begin to thicken. It does not take long so keep an eye on it. 
3. When it looks like mashed potatoes, remove the pot from the heat. 4.Spoon the mixture into a bowl and cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap until it's cool. About 5-10 mins 5.When it's cool, knead into a smooth and silky dough.(Add more cornstarch if it feels too sticky 6.Roll out clay to 1/4 inch thick on a silicone mat lightly dusted with cornstarch. 7.Place your dog’s paw on the clay. Press down gently making sure not to press through the clay. 8.Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes around the paw print. Remove the cutter and excess clay. You can re knead the left over clay here and make more ornaments. 9.Using a stamp personalize. 10.Transfer shapes to the prepared baking sheet. 11.You can use a straw or a chopstick to make a hole at the top of the ornament so you can add ribbon later to hang it. 12.The original recipe says place them in the oven for an hour at 175F turning them over halfway through cooking. Honestly I think these work best if you air dry them over night or over a couple of days. 13.When they are dry you can add ribbon and paint them. 14.Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place after the holidays. #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok #pets
