Er was een tijd waarin mijn hele dag draaide om één simpel getal: mijn gewicht. Was het lager dan gisteren? Dan voelde ik me goed. Hoger? Dan zat ik er helemaal doorheen. Ik was ervan overtuigd dat ik pas écht gelukkig zou zijn als ik 60 kg woog, want dat was het ‘ideaal’ dat ik overal zag. Maar in werkelijkheid maakte die obsessie me alleen maar ongelukkig. Op een gegeven moment besloot ik de weegschaal te laten voor wat het was. Eerst vond ik dat doodeng. Wat als ik ineens veel zwaarder werd? Maar langzaam begon ik in te zien dat mijn waarde niet afhing van een cijfertje. Wat écht telt, is hoe je je voelt, hoeveel energie je hebt, hoe sterk je wordt en hoe je vooruitgaat in de gym. Iedereen heeft een ander lichaam en dus een ander ‘gezond’ gewicht. Voor de één is 90 kg perfect, voor de ander voelt 55 goed. Vergelijken heeft geen zin, want jouw lichaam is uniek. Als ik terug kon in de tijd, had ik mezelf nooit zo laten meeslepen door die getallen. Dus als je nog steeds elke dag op die weegschaal staat en je humeur ervan laat afhangen… misschien is het tijd om hem los te laten. Je bent zoveel meer dan een nummer. 📝episode 2 of my skin diaries Well I guess I really have exposed my ‘old self’ in this and I genuinely wonder if anyone who used to follow me (aka ‘rosiefituk’) is watching this video😂 This is such a hard relationship I’m trying to heal and right now, apart from the patches on my back my skin is looking great but only because of my addiction to steroid cream😒 which has in fact caused so much scarring and pigmentation damage to my stomach especially. So I guess even when there aren’t too many red patches to physically be seen, I know how scarred my stomach is under my shorts and I still find it hard to see girls with amazing, tanned & smooth skin😢 I’m healing every time I go to the gym and it’s normal to have good days and bad days but what I can say, is any other girls out there who also find the gym a hard environment to be in, you’re not alone and we can overcome this together besties❤️‍🩹 #fyp #selfconfidence #selflove #bodyconfidence #viral #psoriasis
