白沙屯拱天宮原名「白沙墩」 因東北季風帶來的雪白沙丘而得名 清乾隆年間先民移民來台拓墾 為求平安奉請一尊媽祖供奉於民宅 咸豐晚年居民因媽祖長年輪值奉祀於爐主家 遂集資建廟，於1863年（同治二年）完成土埆厝廟宇 白沙屯媽祖承載超過170年的地方信仰與文化記憶 特別是神像的可動四肢與年度新妝儀式 體現了地方對傳統習俗的保存與尊重 最盛大的活動，就是白沙屯媽祖徒步北港進香 這項傳統從當地年輕人的成年禮 發展為全台信眾共襄盛舉的宗教文化盛事 如今已被列入台灣宗教文化資產 🔺文章內容資料來源於 國家文化資產網&臺灣宗教文化地圖 🔺特別感謝 進香素材由星旺教官提供 結緣素材由婷玫提供 Baishatun Gongtian Temple, once called “Baishadun,” is named after the white sand dunes shaped by the northeast winds. Back in the 18th century, local settlers placed a Mazu statue in their homes for protection. By 1863, the community came together to build the temple that still stands today. For over 170 years, the Baishatun Mazu has been part of local life. The unique movable-limb statue is carefully dressed each year before the annual pilgrimage.
