Marty Sheargold also said on the same episode that endometriosis is made up. On average it takes 7-10 years for someone to be diagnosed with Endometriosis and comments like this only create more stigma surrounding such a painful disease. Also on a radio, where millions of people struggling with disease who are trying to get diagnosed or help for their extreme pain. It’s not something to “joke” about. A stand up comedy show sure you expect to hear FUNNY and satire jokes but this is not ok. #martysheargold #endo #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #endometriosissurgery #endowarrior #CapCut
I officially have two more days of work left, we have our final ultrasound tomorrow for baby boy and I will be going to some appointments this week to help life with a new born a bit easier. #maternity #maternityleave #surrogacy #chronicpain #endometriosis #migraine #baby #newborn #glowupseries
People who do surrogacy don’t sit in hospital beds pretending to give birth, a newborn has been born, needs to be monitored and if there is space intended parents also get a bed. You can leave when your surrogate leaves here in Australia. So as Belinda is having a c section we stay with our baby, until she is ready leave too. You can only do surrogacy in Australia if you medically can not carry your child. I do not have a uterus to carry our baby. Commercialised surrogacy is illegal and you can not pay a surrogate just to carry your baby for you. There are huge laws and processes in Australia for surrogacy. There’s months of counselling, psych evaluations, legal agreements, you need to pass your states board and then you can start transfer. Surrogates in Australia want to do surrogacy to carry a baby for a family who can not carry their own and give them the chance to be a family. Here you pay all the medical fee’s, fertility fee’s and anything your surrogate needs during pregnancy but Belinda our surrogate has wanted to do this her whole life and we are incredibly grateful she chose us. She will be Aunty Bel to our son and he will know that she gave him the gift of life. She is like my second mum, she is family to us. It has taken us years to get here and it’s finally time to meet baby Holman. #surrogacy #surrogate #surrogacyjourney #australia #baby #pregnancy #mtb #intendedparents #babyboy #fertility #fertilityawareness
We had our 36 week ultrasound for our baby boy. We met Belinda our beautiful surrogate at the hospital and the ultrasound showed her placenta has moved over, which is great as means if her body goes into natural labour it won’t be dangerous for her. She has decided for the c section for baby boys birth and we support what she wants for this birth. The count down is officially on as we entire this last stage before he is earthside. #surrogacy #surrogacyjourney #surrogacytiktok #australia #baby #36weeks #36weekspregnant #pregnancy #babyboy #mtb
I had my last day of work today before maternity leave. The girls from work organised the most beautiful book with things from my tiny humans, made me clinkers slice, flowers presents and cards. I’m forever grateful I get to spend my work days at a place that fills my cup up and that I’ve found such close friends in my centre over the years. They’ve been there through it all and so have the families. Next time I see them I’ll be a mum and that’s just to surreal to say. Here we go baby boy, this is it. We can’t wait to meet you. #surroagcy #surrogate #36weekspregnant #maternityleave #babyboy #earlychildhoodeducation #childcare #earlychildhoodeducator
