Smile makeover reveals will always be my favorite, and this one was extra special—it reminded me why I love being a dentist. 💗 Seeing someone regain their confidence and the will to smile again is truly fulfilling. Meet Ate Gelay—our journey goes way back. She was my first surgical patient in undergrad when I did her frenectomy before her wedding. Years later I became a dentist, she went to me for her fillings. And now, at the end of 2024, she came back, saying she would only trust me with her smile makeover. After a long process, we giggled 😆, teared up 🥹, and celebrated because this wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about a wish fulfilled days before her birthday. 💗 Yesterday, I was reminded of two things: 1️⃣ Do your best in school. You never know when an undergrad patient will become a lifetime patient. (And so many of mine still come to me today — no matter where I practice!) 2️⃣ Give your best every day.
