“How do you get the chippies to trust you?” It’s probably the question I get asked the most! If you’ve ever dreamed of befriending a chipmunk, here’s something to try: 1. Pick a spot where you often see Chippy and make a little trail of nuts, seeds, or fruit leading up to you. (You might need to make the trail longer than the one in this video!) 2. Sit super still and remain quiet… any sudden movements or noise might scare Chippy away. 3. Once Chippy seems comfortable around you, try offering food from your hand and see if they’re brave enough to grab a snack! Keep in mind that this all might take some time, so patience is key. But once Chippy realizes you’re a friend (with snackies!) they’ll likely keep coming back for more. ☺️ Good luck, future chipmunk whisperer!
