I started this portfolio at the beginning of January this year and finished it the first week of February! I’m aware that that’s a very short amount of time but I put my heart and soul into this and was drawing none stop almost every day. I was lucky that the first studio that was offering an apprentiship that I applied for, also chose me as their apprentice. It’s not a common thing that happens so was extremely excited when I found out I had gotten it and it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me! :) Only about less than 10% of my portfolio is digital art which is all on one page at the end and included in my floral section and Japanese style section. I wanted to show that I have good drawing skills traditionally as yes digital art is great but you can also gets lots of stabilising on lines and curves you pull. So adding lots of traditional stuff helped show that I was able to pull smooth confident lines on my own and had artistic capabilities, as it’s a skill that’ll transfer over when I eventually start practicing tattooing. I made sure to add a bunch of different styles and mediums to show I have range. Script, realism, black work, watercolour, ball point pen, etc. I’m easily adaptable and wanted to show that. Overall I was really proud when I finished this portfolio and handed it in! I’m still proud of it now for how much it’s given me 🙏🥹 If anyone has any questions I’m open to answering them! #tattooportfolio #tattooaprentice #tattooapprenticeship #apprenticetattoo #tattooaprenticeportfolio #fyp #like #art #artist #drawing #draw #tattoo #portfolio
