#ad Using a wheelchair or not, crowds suck. You know where there aren’t crowds? Outside!! #OptOutside with me and @REI this holiday season and skip the crowds #ad
It’s been 7 years since our first date! Pretty wild how quickly time has passed; I still remember it like it was yesterday. Charisma really caught me off guard that night. I was super nervous, as all the dates I had been on were largely centered around my disability, my accident, and what rehab was like. I hated that. I never really felt like they were about getting to know each other, and that’s what I yearned for. Especially with Charisma, because man, was I crushing on her hard! Sure enough, Charisma was different. From the jump, she asked questions about me as a person, and I got to know her as well. It might sound like what you’d expect on a first date, but oftentimes things go differently when you’re disabled. In hindsight, it’s no surprise, because Charismas is just special like that. I feel so lucky every day that we found each other, and that’s 7 years later our love and friendship is stronger than ever! - Cole
