I really feel quite speechless but I do have some things to say now I’ve slightly recovered 😆… . Belfast - what a crowd, what a home marathon. One of my biggest ‘never’s’ was a home crowd because if it all went wrong I’d of felt so embarrassed whereas slipping off to another city you may get away with more lol but I am now SO glad I ran at home - there wasn’t a corner I passed without a supporter chanting my name - you’ve no idea how much this carried me through it all… THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO CHANTED MY NAME & GENERAL WOO’S 🩵 . My friends & family - honestly if you can, force your friends and family to join you 😂 staying up where the race was the night before and of is amazing I highly recommend!! To see the faces of those who have been there for me at the toughest times of my life made me quite emotional & extremely grateful and also a great distraction on trying to keep an eye out in the crowd when the pain cave is kicking in - another huge tip. . God & my faith - let me tell you… multiple times I said “Jesus take the wheel here” 😂😂😂 I could not have done that on my own strength - I NEVER thought I’d be able to smile and enjoy!?! myself during this and honestly maybe bar the last 4 miles I was smiling ear to ear 😂✨🙏 we all know this isn’t my usual style, I definitely had a peace that passes all understanding. Doing my morning prayer time fully centred me, helping me not overthink and panic not to mention giving me faith that no matter what happens, it’s in His plan..🙏😇🩵✨ . I did have a little story in my head to distract myself that my dad & grandparents were up in heaven with popcorn watching me live on the tv in Heaven 🕊️ & to then run past a band playing my dads favourite song live I really felt the presence of those not there physically. I know he’d be in disbelief, cheering me on seeing me cross the finish line 🏁 . Again - any other advice obviously ask away. But let’s be SO clear… I haven’t A CLUE what I’m doing 😂😂😂 but never let that stop you 😉 love you so so much, remember you can do anything. 🩵✨ . #marathonrunner #marathon #Running #slowrunner #belfast #runnergirl #newrunner
