Here’s an update on Rori, the lion we rescued from Ukraine! 🦁 He’s facing some challenges with coordination and neurological issues, likely caused by the bombings he endured before his rescue. But despite it all, Rori is making amazing progress! He’s incredibly playful and boisterous, and the entire team here has completely fallen in love with him. 🫶🦁 Rori is currently in the care of Natuur Hulp Centrum in Belgium while we prepare his new forever home at our sanctuary. 🚨 Our BIGGEST Rescue Mission Is Underway! 🚨 Hertfordshire Zoo and The Big Cat Sanctuary have united in an urgent operation to rescue & rehome over 20 exotic big and small cats from The Cat Survival Trust in Welwyn Garden City, UK. 10 cats have already been successfully rehomed across the UK, with homes secured for another 8. Among them is Frank—the UK’s only Asian Golden Cat—who now resides safely at our sanctuary alongside Boson, a Fishing Cat.
