Okay, @adobe Firefly has DONE DID IT AGAIN 🔥 We now have the ability to take any image and create a video in SECONDS 🤯😱👀😳 If you want to know how I made this chrome character in the first place, head back to my original video (with 2.1M views!?): https://bit.ly/fireflytutorial And then create your own animated version of your character or logo simply by; ➡️ Heading to Adobe Firefly and finding IMAGE TO VIDEO ➡️ Upload your image to the first frame (making sure the aspect ratio matches the size of the image you upload) ➡️ Describe your video/animation ➡️ Click GENERATE and watch as your static image comes to LIFE. The prompts I used to generate these epic videos; ✅ Letter catching on fire ✅ Letter with black goo ✅ Letter growing small magical garden and little flowers The more descriptive the better! #adobefirefly #ai #adobetips #adobetutorial 👌

No more boring client presentations ❌😴 Presenting your work in a well organised and professional way can be a make or break. Don’t stop designing at simply the concept phase - continue to roll out the design using a clean, clear and striking presentation. In this case; I’ve utilised a Brand Quick Guide template that I created but in a landscape form. Perfect to print out A4 or A3 size to simply allow the client to refer to it at any time. Easily finding their color codes, typography styling and breakdown of assets. #logomaker #visualidentity #brandboard #brandboards #graphicdesign #designagency

5 things I wish I knew about branding before I started my career 🔥👀👌⬇️ 1. Most of the time, you don’t need more than 3 - 5 logos. Having too many can be confusing for the client and the consumers. 2. Your logo typography does not need to the same as your heading type. 3. There are so many other amazing sans serif than Poppins, Montserrat and Futura. No hate at all (they are f*cking epic) but they are so over used. Spend time researching others and find something most brands don’t use. 4. Don’t design for your clients ‘wants’, design for the target audience’s ‘likes’ 5. If you can’t answer why you have done something, remove it. If you CAN answer why you have done something, keep it. Side note; I’m also going to start providing our clients these Brand Quick Guides. A quick and easy way to see your colour specs, typography styling and overview of the brand. Perfect for clients to print out and stick on their wall for future reference! #brandidentity #logodesign #brandagency #branding #logomaker #brandguidelines #brandboard

Next time you design a logo, don’t forget to… ADD PERSONALITY 🔥 Personality can be added in various ways depending on the type of personality you are trying to achieve. But you’ll be missing a beat if you have a wordmark that solely relies on the personality of a specific type, because ultimately this could lead to you looking like everybody else who uses that typeface. But how do we make those subtle, or dramatic customisations that enable your design to ooze more personality. Go back to your brief and look into your goal. In this case; we aimed to create a design that ‘captured the essence of our monstrous-sized sandwiches’. So, I bought the idea of ‘monster-sized’ into the design by pulling in small cutouts that reassembled a monster bite/teeth. And the result - a custom word mark that oozed personality whilst maintaining it’s cleanliness and simplicity. #logomaker #logodesign #logocreation #Logoinspo #brandidentity #visualidentity

Stop designing obvious logos ❌😵 Expand yourself and design logos that are more abstract, this allows for a more unique and custom design for each client. My best tips for this are to refer to your brief and brand story and pull out a list of brand nouns, then find key nouns that can be bought together to tell a story through your logo. In some instances obvious logos can work fantastic, but it’s important to create a logo that no one else has for your client so by combining key brand nouns you’ll pull together a much for unique and interesting design! ONE LOGO ISN’T ENOUGH Why do so many businesses only have one version of their logo—even after working with a designer? 🤯 There’s often a lack of understanding around why alternative logo variations are essential. A single logo might work in some cases, but what happens when you need to place it on a website navigation bar vs. a branded T-shirt? Shrinking a complex logo can make it unreadable, while certain spaces call for more elongated or simplified versions. That’s why we create diverse logo families—ensuring every touchpoint has the most effective design for the space it lives in. Because a strong brand isn’t just about looking good—it’s about being adaptable. 🔥 #logomaker #logodesign #logoinspo #visualidentity #brandboard

The secret to success as a designer? It’s not what you think 🛑⚠️ No matter where you are in your design journey; you NEED to learn how to film, edit, and post content. Why? Because creating content isn’t just about showing off. It’s how you market your skills, tell your story, and SELL YOURSELF. After 11 years in the industry and nearly 5 years running my own business, I’ve learned that being able to *sell yourself* is more important than even the best design skills. If you’re the most talented designer out there but can’t communicate what you do or how you work, you’re holding yourself back. Some of my top tips for creating content: ✅ All you need is your phone to film - you don’t necessarily need the top camera equipment. ✅ Buy a cheap phone tripod from Amazon, they have so many. ✅ Software I love to use to edit: Adobe Rush is PERFECT if you’re learning how to edit content. It’s so easy and quick. Plus once you get good, you can import those directly into Adobe Premier Pro for more professional editing. ✅ Learn to edit to the beat of music; it creates much more engaging and exciting content. ✅ Tell a Story: Structure your social media content like a film or TV show. Start with an introduction and a hook, set the scene, identify a problem, and then resolve it. People are much more engaged when a story is being told. ✅ The time to start is NOW: don’t overcomplicate it and think it has to be perfect. Aim for 80% perfection. Hell, even aim for 60% perfection. Just record, edit and post and get your stuff out there - it’s the fastest way to learn. Most people are too shy to put themselves out there. If you’re not, you’re already ahead of the game. Trust me, start now and your future self will thank you. #visualidentity #logodesign #brandboard #socialmediatips

Why Basic Design Techniques Can Make Experiences Better 🔥 A few weeks ago, I had dinner with friends, and the restaurant’s menu was… rough. Super minimal, thrown together, and honestly frustrating to read. Even my friends—who aren’t designers—noticed how hard it was to understand at first glance. But why? The lack of design led to zero hierarchy and made readability a struggle. It’s a perfect example of how even basic design principles can transform an experience. So, let’s break it down—here’s how simple tweaks can make a menu (or any design) easier to digest: ✅ Layout: Organize information into clear sections to guide the reader. ✅ Typography: Use branded fonts and varied text sizes to create hierarchy—leading the eye naturally from most important to least. ✅ Color: Introduce branded colors (or even subtle shades) to help structure content and improve readability. ✅ Design elements: Assets like dividers, frames, and callout boxes add clarity and visual flow. And finally—cohesion matters. Keep things on-brand with logos, supporting graphics, and a consistent aesthetic. Even the smallest design choices shape the overall experience. And when done right? They make all the difference. #graphicdesign #graphicdesigntips #layoutdesign

I love hearing people’s journeys—how they got to where they are today. So, here’s a little behind-the-scenes look into Pink Pony Creative (along with some hard-hitting truths). 2019: The Breaking Point After 7 years in three different design roles, I was creatively drained and uninspired. I knew something had to change. I was over it. Late 2019: The Spark I took on a 100-day design challenge, posting every piece on Instagram. That little experiment led to my first client inquiry and sparked a thought: “Could I actually make this a business?” 2020: The Leap I officially registered Pink Pony Creative and went full-time—working from my tiny bedroom in a flat with six mates. 2021: The Growth The work started flooding in. I moved into a shared office space and made my first hire. Soon after, I brought on two more as we kept creating epic work for clients worldwide. 2022: The Pinch-Me Moment I was invited to speak at Adobe MAX—not once, but TWICE. Standing on that stage, I had a surreal moment of “how did I get here?” 2023: The Dream Studio I opened my own design studio and expanded the team to six. I wouldn’t be here without these amazing women! 2024: The Headliner I took the stage as a speaker at Creative South (Georgia, USA) and a headlining speaker at Adobe MAX (Miami, USA). 2025: The Wildest Milestone Yet We just surpassed $1M (NZD) in yearly revenue. A 7-FIGURE business. 🥹 This feels surreal to post, whether you think this is a lot or not enough, I hope it inspires someone out there to DREAM BIG. If I can do it, so can you. Present: The Next Chapter I’m about to step into maternity leave (what?!), knowing my team has everything handled—allowing this mumma to embrace this new chapter without pressing pause on my business. And that last slide? That one’s for YOU. #designagency #businessjourney #graphicdesigner
