REMEMBER: We ALL have insecurities and are at different stages in our self love journeys. Just because this may not be your insecurity, doesn’t mean you get to shame others who hold it. THE GOLDEN RULE: Photos aren’t real life! While it may be perfectly fine to sit one way in real life, it may not translate best in photos. When we take a photo, we’re taking a 3D human and compressing them into a 2D image. SIT AT THE EDGE: Move to the edge of your seat, and check your posture. This will elongate your torso.
 BEND YOUR KNEE: You can either cross one leg over the other, or bend your leg so your ankle rests on top of your opposite knee USED YOUR HANDS: Place your hands strategically to hide your tummy. You can rest them on your knee or on top of your bent leg. HOW TO TAKE CHRISTMAS TREE PHOTOS YOU ACTUALLY LIKE 📸 Taking photos with a *really* tall Christmas tree? Send this these instructions to the friend taking your photo… DON’T: ❌ Stand close to the Christmas tree and have your friend stand far away! This will make you look disproportionately small and blend in with the tree. DO: ✅ Both you and your friend step away from the tree. Be sure to back up far enough away so the entire tree is in frame when you do the following steps. ✅ Use 0.5x for a more dramatic look. ✅ Have your friend lower the camera so there is more room on top of your head for scenery. ✅ Tilt the camera’s lens backward (toward your friend) to get all of the tree in the frame. ✅ Stand in the middle of the photo to ensure you don’t get too stretched out by the wide angle lens. ✅ Take a lot of photos an dhcange up your poses! THE GOLDEN RULE: Whatever is closest to the camera looks largest. Whatever is farthest away looks smallest. If you want to minimize your arms, make sure it’s away from the camera’s lens. CHECK YOUR POSTURE: Be sure to check your posture! Pretend and invisible string is pulling you all the way up from your toes to the top of your head. This will lengthen your torso. POSE YOUR HIPS: Experiment with positioning your hips. Push them backward or forward depending on what works best for your body!
