When I tell you I was crying so bad when he wouldn’t latch. I felt so bad like I shouldn’t have taken so much time for myself. I also felt like he was growing up too fast and scared our bond would change. He latched perfectly since birth but when he start teething he start biting me and I think my reaction scared him. I know it sounds crazy but it’s almost like he could tell I was uncomfortable. He would get frustrated because he was hungry and the milk wasn’t coming out as fast as it used too and much slower than the bottle. Once I realized latching wasn’t working for either of us that’s when I went to just pumping but honestly I would have just endured the pain if I knew it would drop my supply like this. Thank you for all the advice I’m still implementing the suggestions. I’ll update y’all when I try more suggestions. What age are y’all putting your babies in their own room? We are going to start decorating his room and getting his things in it slowly so he can start taking naps in his own room. Right now he will only take a 30 minute nap in his bassinet but he will contact nap for hours! I remember the day I was pregnant and I saw my 1st drop of colostrum and I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to pump to provide for my baby. The 1st few months were so easy. I would pump like 1-2 times a day and it was enough for most of the day but when I start going to the gym and actually spending time away from my baby it’s like my milk slowly start to disappear I really want to keep giving him breast milk but it’s so hard to balance everything with pumping all the time. I honestly grow his hair the same way I grow my own and that’s as little manipulation as possible. I obviously use more products for myself tho. Baby J has never been a Velcro baby besides when he is napping and I’m thinking the teething is making him want to be held more. I don’t know how to deal with it because I can do anything without him wanting to be picked up. He cries when one of us leaves the room now too.
