I just bought an $1,100 hundred dollar microphone… hopefully you can hear a massive audio difference. So you’re able to really hear the difference, I’m gonna take sound bites with each of my 3 mics: first the DJI Mic 2 ($250), then the Shure SM7B ($500), and then the Sennheiser MKH 416 ($1,100). Now the difference in these mics isn’t just in the sound quality and price. The DJI has the massive advantage of allowing you to move anywhere with it… literally hundreds of feet away from your audio recorder. And the Shure has the disadvantage of you being pretty much fully stationary. I’m thinking I will use the Sennheiser mostly as a shotgun mic when I’m out in the wild.
